Privacy
This site is run by the Le Roch Lab in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology at the University of California, Riverside. UCR’s campus Privacy Statement applies to it. This page describes what this particular site does.
What is collected
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server request logs — IP address, browser user-agent, requested page and timestamp — for a short period, for security and reliability.
We measure aggregate traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not collect personal data. It reports how many times a page was viewed, roughly where in the world readers are, and which site linked them here.
Cookies
The public pages of this site set no cookies. The lab’s content editor at /keystatic sets a session cookie for signed-in lab members; it exists to keep them signed in and is not used for tracking.
Email addresses shown on this site go directly to lab members. Anything you send is treated as ordinary correspondence. You are not added to a mailing list.
Embedded content
The contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. Loading that map sends your IP address to openstreetmap.org, where their own privacy policy applies. No account, key or cookie is involved. Fonts, images and scripts are otherwise served from this site.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to UCR sites, journals, publishers and funders. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy applies, not this one.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area
UCR’s Privacy Statement sets out your rights under the GDPR and how to exercise them.
